Hi, I'm Jessa Doughty.
"Anahuasa — you are healed. That's the belief I carry into every kitchen."
I'm a holistic chef based in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and I started Anahuasa out of a deep belief that real food is real medicine. Not a slogan — a truth I've experienced firsthand and watched transform the people I cook for.
My journey into holistic cooking wasn't a straight line. It came through seasons of healing, learning, and paying close attention to what the body asks for when we actually listen. I discovered that food cooked with whole, seasonal ingredients — made from scratch, prepared with care — does something medicine alone often can't. It nourishes at a cellular level and at a soul level simultaneously.
Before founding Anahuasa, I trained in holistic nutrition and spent years cooking for private clients, events, and wellness retreats across the Southeast. Every experience deepened my conviction: the way we feed ourselves and the people we love matters. It changes everything.
Today, I bring that philosophy to every kitchen I walk into — whether it's a quiet beach rental dinner for two, a weekend wellness retreat, or a weekly meal prep for a family navigating a health challenge. The food is always made from scratch. The ingredients are always whole and seasonal. And the care is always real.
